RFPA Annual Meeting 2025

RFPA Annual Meeting 2025

  • 06 October, 2025
  • Reformed Free Publishing Association

The Annual Meeting, held at the end of each fiscal year, is an opportunity for current Association members to gather together in one place and discuss the current state of the Reformed Free Publishing Association. It is also the only time during the year that new members are able to join the Association!

The Meeting drew an excellent turnout of young and old readers and RFPA supporters. Many of the 171 active Association members attended with friends and family members to listen to Dr. Brendan Looyenga and Mr. Ben Rau give a presentation titled "Intelligence or Illusion? Christian Perspectives on AI." You can watch or share this speech via the RFPA YouTube channel here. (The full speech with opening remarks and the reading of reports is here.)

Below: Mr. Ben Rau gives a broad-strokes overview of the technical aspects of AI that every Christian should know, including the advent of this new technology in the workplace, home, and even church world

Many RFPA authors were in attendance, including P.M. Kuiper, Lee Kamminga, Abby Van Solkema, and Mike Velthouse. Also attending were all 5 RFPA staff members.

The RFPA bookstore at this event featured displays of some bestsellers, as well as for each new release in the 2024–2025 fiscal year. That included Grace House by Lee Kamminga, Go Into All the World by Daniel Holstege, Peace in the Valley by Gerrit Vos, Christ and His Church Vol. 2, and volumes 3 and 4 in the Devotions on the Gospel of John for Teens series. Have you collected them all?

Other highlights from this year's meeting included the food and fellowship following the speech. After an informative and edifying couple of hours, coffee and refreshments are a welcome part of the event! This year, the dessert charcuterie was provided by the Hope School Circle, which also organizes the annual fundraising event "Taste of Hope" for Hope Protestant Reformed School. If you enjoyed the food at this Annual Meeting, be sure to attend the Taste of Hope event in the future!

If you attended, let us know what you thought! What did you most enjoy? What was missing? What could have been done better? And in 2026, what kind of topic would you like to hear more about? Do you have a recommendation for a speaker? Email ashley@rfpa.org with your feedback.
