The books arrived safely a few days ago now. I have not read them as yet, however I always enjoy Prof Hanko's books, and look forward to reading them.

I have talked to Marco about a cure and I must report that he is not much help. Here is the problem and how I solved it. I am already signed up for the best discount and most free books, but my addiction also fuels our local church's library so I "must" by copies for that library and on top of that you let me discount my cost or money even more with a discounted gift certificates! Yes plural - I bought more than one! Do this again next Christmas to see if I am still addicted.
Thank You!!
Still working through the commentary, however Engelsma is a refreshing take. He's not ashamed of the language the confession uses. Highly recomend this resource to anyone seeking to better understand the Belgic.
I had heard about this book from the puritanboard.com and decided I wanted to get a better understanding of Revelation after reading "The High King of Heaven" from Davis.

Published by Reformed Free Publishing Association, this book contains daily readings, meditations, and songs for the entire year.
The heart of the book is to help readers rediscover the book of Psalms as a treasure trove of heartfelt prayers, honest expressions of emotion, and profound insights into every believer's journey as a pilgrim and stranger in this world.
The structure of the book is straightforward and formatted like the usual devotional book. The devotionals are dated for the whole year, and each page is dedicated to a particular day. Each entry has a title, a passage from Psalms, and the devotional itself. At the bottom of each page, there is a suggested related Scripture passage and a Psalter versification for further reading and singing. This makes it a great resource not only for personal devotion but also for family worship at home.
The devotionals are brief, scripture-saturated, and Christo-centric. While the book is based on Psalms, it does not cover all 150 chapters, as some were not included. All in all, the readings contain profound scripture and gospel truths that will surely nourish and strengthen any pilgrim.
One of the standout features I particularly found unique in this book is that it contains the full list of devotions in the table of contents. This is the first time I have seen this in a 365-day devotional. I also love the beautiful hardback cover design, which is truly worth mentioning. I just wish that the pages were sewn-bound, which could have made it even better and more durable for daily use. Nevertheless, the quality of this book is exceptional.
Final Thoughts:
John A. Heys' Songs of Our Pilgrimage contains deep truths from the Psalms and offers spiritual nourishment and great encouragement for pilgrims on their journey. Its enriching devotionals and prompts for singing the Psalms will lead you to worship and awe of God!

The magazine began to publish editorials that indicated a change of direction. It appeared to identify more with liberal trends rather than holding its ground as the conservative banner bearer it had been for many years. That put me on a search for a publication that was thoroughly Reformed and unlikely to weaken as many of the once faithful are now doing. That was when I discovered The Standard Bearer. I didn’t know the publication existed until recently but I have had a number of Herman Hoeksema books in my library for many years now and have turned to them frequently as they have always been a valuable source of reliable information. I’m glad I found The Standard Bearer and I plan on being a subscriber for many years to come!
A great book to read…even though it is written for a certain age group I found it to be very knowledgeable for grownups who have a desire to know more about God’s word.
Journey Through the Psalms: A Thirty-Day Devotional
Pastor Hoeksema's treatment of God's grace was thought provoking and expanded my vision of it. Richly theological and practical. I recommend you read it
I keep giving copies away. Excellent factual summaries of so many heroes of the faith over the many centuries. I notice Monergism.com uses the summaries for some of their book reprints. Vermigli for example. This is more of a why don't you have a copy type of review. H. Hanko follows the Gospel...I keep giving copies away. I purchased it and it has provided insight and perspective to portions I had read many times. These truths have been magnified and brought to such vivid light I find myself turning these things over in my mind often. When I am tempted to lose my temper or think of or speak unkindly to someone, I hear in my mind, "Reckon yourself dead to sin but alive unto God." The devotional style of this commentary has been so helpful in applying these great truths to my every day living. I am grateful to have come across this book.
I received the wonderful book in a timely fashion… The book is of high quality… my experience in ordering and receiving of my purchase was very professional… God Bless and Godspeed…. Michael Folmer
She is my grandchild and has special needs. She cannot speak but loves to listen to the stories. As it is something addressed to her made her very exited. Thank you for your excellent magazine.
